OUR MISSION
.......is to empower and motivate the homeless and those in crisis by providing an avenue to self-sufficiency by making support services freely available - life skills, basic computer skills, advancement of reading and writing, resume and job placement assistance - as well as providing clothing, emergency food supplies, and basic life necessities - for those who find themselves in crisis in our community - while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Hands Across Decatur was founded in 2012 as a volunteer organization for people who want to donate their time and their servant hands, feet and hearts to benefit the homeless and those in crisis in Decatur, Alabama and surrounding areas. In 2015, God made a path for us to provide assistance on a greater scale to a largely "forgotten community" - the homeless and near homeless. We are excited that we are now a non-profit 501(c)(3).
OUR TEAM
We are a team of dedicated volunteers excited about our mission and the lives that are being changed!
